Hello and welcome back River Park Youth Baseball! 

We're excited to kick off our spring season, and can't wait to see all of you back at Ciavarella. We have some important updates regarding player evaluations this weekend. Please read this email in full, as there are some changes for the 2025 season! 

Evaluations will be held this Saturday, January 11th at Ciavarella Field! 

Please have your player arrive at their identified time: 

Majors

• Last Name A-L -- Check in - Arrive at 8:15am, Assessment - 9:00am-9:45am
• Last Name M-Z -- Check in -  Arrive at 9:00am, Assessment - 9:45am-10:30am

Minors

• Last Name A-H -- Check in - Arrive at 9:45am, Assessment - 10:30am-11:15am
• Last Name I-O -- Check in- Arrive at 10:30am, Assessment 11:15am-12:00pm
• Last Name P-Z -- Check in- Arrive at 11:15am, Assessment 12:00pm-12:45pm

Rookies

• Last Name A-G -- Check in- Arrive at 12:00pm,  Assessment 12:45pm-1:30pm
• Last Name H-M -- Check in- Arrive at 12:45pm, Assessment 1:30pm-2:15pm
• Last Name N-Z -- Check in- Arrive at 1:30pm, Assessment 2:15pm-3:00pm

Attendance is required for all players who wish to play in the Rookies, Minors or Majors Divisions including Tee Ball aged players who would like to play up to Rookies.  There will be a make-up evaluation day on Sunday, January 12th from 9-10am at Ciavarella Field for all ages.  If a player is unable to attend either date, they will become a blind hat pick in the player draft. There are no exceptions. 

As a reminder, if you have a tee ball aged player planning to play tee ball, you DO NOT need to attend evaluations.

Reminders for Evaluations
Players should bring a glove, bat and a helmet if available to use for evaluations. Cleats are optional. When you check in,  your player will be assigned a bib number, be fitted for a jersey, and confirm their preferred jersey number.  Once your player is checked in, the evaluation will consist of throwing, catching and hitting. 

NEW FOR 2025- Volunteer Hours Payment

This year, the league will be collecting a $200 check per family for volunteer hours at the beginning of the season. Please bring a check made out to River Park Youth Baseball with your player's name(s) in the memo to player evaluations. This check will be held until your family fulfills the mandatory 6 hour volunteer credit requirement.  If the requirement is not met by the end of the season, the check will be cashed. The league will be providing plenty of volunteer opportunities, and we thank all of you in advance for helping make this volunteer-run league a success.
