Hello RPYB Families!
Welcome to the 2026 River Park Youth Baseball (RPYB) Season! I’m Mary, RPYB’s Volunteer Coordinator. I’ll be your primary point of contact should you have any questions or concerns regarding volunteer expectations and requirements. I have two kids in the league and Ciavarella feels like a second home! We love baseball and feel so fortunate to have our league as part of our local community.
Because we have a few changes in our volunteer policies this year, I want to lay out expectations below clearly so there are no surprises and everyone can find a way to support the league that works for you and your family. As a volunteer run league, we rely upon our wonderful families to help keep the league operating for our kids, and for that we thank you!
Again, thank you for your support of our wonderful league, and please reach out with any questions.

River Park Youth Baseball (RPYB) is a non-profit, volunteer run
organization. It’s with the support from you and the community that we can run a great league for our kids.
To support its operations, every RPYB family must fulfill six (6)
volunteer credits per family, or opt-out and pay a $200 per family fee.
The following volunteer options are available during the season:
It is important to note that volunteer requirements are SEPARATE from the Snack Shack duties. Learn more about the Snack Shack volunteer requirements.
Q: I finished my volunteer hours. Do I still need to sign up for a Snack Shack shift?
A: YES! Your snack shack shifts are separate from your league volunteer hours, and we rely on all of our team families to help our snack shack run!
Q: I have three children playing in the league. Does that mean I need to volunteer 18 hours?
A: NO! It is six (6) hours per family! However, each team has their own snack shack requirement, so if you have multiple children in the league, you will need to volunteer for each team or hire a teen to do it for you.
Q: My partner is a coach. Do I still need to volunteer?
A: It depends! If your family member is one of the four official team positions (team parent + 3 coaching staff), your league volunteer hours are met. However, we will still need your help at the snack shack!
Q: Our family is also a sponsor. Do we still need to help with Snack Shack shifts?
A: YES! Thank you so much for your financial support of our league. If you have a child on a team, we still need your help at the snack shack though.
Q: My team asked me to help with GameChanger. Does that count as volunteer hours?
A: Unfortunately, no. Part of being part of a team is being able to help with game-day duties as needed. Thank you for your help keeping score!
Q: If I only complete half of my volunteer hours, will you prorate my volunteer check?
A: NO! Sorry, but the league is not able to adjust the volunteer hours payment in this way. Once your six (6) hours are complete, we will void your check. If at the end of the season your hours have not yet been met, we will deposit your check.
